External Event: Music Licensing in Schools with Music Mark

This webinar will be an opportunity to learn key information about the licenses schools already have including information on data reporting.

Music is a vital part of the culture of schools, with teachers regularly using music in a variety of ways and formats. In many cases, schools are covered by ‘blanket’ copyright licenses that have been negotiated on schools’ behalf.

This webinar, chaired by Every Copy Counts Director Abigail D’Amore, will be an opportunity to learn key information about the licenses schools already have, and what schools’ obligations are in terms of reporting data.

Short presentations will be given on:

  • The Schools Printed Music Licence and Every Copy Counts: Viki Smith (Managing Director: Printed Music Licencing Limited) and Abigail D’Amore (Director: Every Copy Counts)

  • The Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI)'s collective worship licences: Jenny Coomber (UK Service Centre Manager: CCLI)

  • The Performing Rights Society (PRS) education licences: TBC

There will then be a short Q&A session to answer any questions.

This session is suitable for any primary or secondary teacher/leader/manager with responsibility for music in the school. This will also be relevant for Music Education Hub / Music Service staff who would like to ensure they have the most up to date information to share with schools.

Every Copy Counts Webinar: Musician & Social Media Influencer, Stephani B

A live webinar with musician, DJ drummer and social media influencer, Stephani B.

In this live session hosted by Anna-Marie Descartes, Stephani B will cover the following;

  • Choosing music as a hobby which later turned into the start of a promising career.

  • The benefits of social media and how the use of online video (Instagram reels and Tik Tok) can get you discovered.

  • The basics of production and her musical history including how she started playing different musical instruments.

  • Stephani will also be answering any questions the students have in a Q and A afterwards.

About Stephani B

Stephani B found her love for drumming from the early age of 12. From spending her teens drumming with her girlband, session drumming and supporting the likes of Little Mix and Pixie Lott; she later decided to merge all of her talents together and become a frontline act.

Stephani attended a 3 year course at Paul McCartney’s institute LIPA in 2015 where she perfected her craft. With her love for Electronic Dance music, Stephani introduced electronic sounds to accompany her drum kit.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Stephani needed to re-invent herself via the online medium. In the first 8 weeks of 2021, Stephani has increased her following by more than 60K on the influential social platforms Tik Tok and Instagram.

After signing with management Six15 in 2020 and being a DJ Drummer that everyone is talking about, this is just the beginning for Stephani B.

Please note that this webinar is only available to schools that have signed up to the PMLL portal and logged a line of sheet music.
